In it's 12th year, you can be part of the first Smiddy peloton to take on the iconic Smiddy Challenge in reverse, from Townsville to Brisbane.

The Bottlemart Smiddy Challenge is a unique way for you to experience the amazing Queensland countryside. Ride through deserted outback highways, warm country towns,
stunning ranges and farmland. Meet incredible people—from schoolkids cheering you in for lunch in central Queensland, to country supporters who have been welcoming, feeding and housing Smiddy pelotons for a decade.

Take on South East Queensland's best cycling over the October long weekend!

The only Smiddy event to start and finish in Brisbane, the Smiddy 4-Day Challenge will see you tackle some of South East Queensland’s most scenic and challenging terrain, navigating the Brisbane Valley, Great Dividing Range and the Darling Downs before returning to Brisbane through the Lockyer Valley.

As the name suggests, this event is half the length of our signature Smiddy Challenge, making it ideal for those new to cycling or anyone looking to ease back into it after a break. It's also held over a long weekend which means minimal time off work.

All the Smiddy Spirit, half the time, and an amazing cycling adventure ... the Smiddy 4-Day Challenge is perfect for Smiddy veterans and first-timers alike.

You'll roll out of Christchurch for five days of epic cycling through jaw-dropping scenery.

Take on over 900 km with some big climbs through the beautiful southern alps!

Along the way you’ll make new mates, take on impressive mountain climbs, breathtaking descents, and experience the incomparable Smiddy Spirit first hand.  

And if that’s not enough to get your adrenaline going, you’ll finish in Queenstown, the adventure capital of the world—where you can complete your adrenaline fix with bungee jumping, jet boating and paragliding.
