• Smiddy 10K Swim

Is the black line calling your name? Up and down the pool, 100 times. It's fast, furious and addictive.

Are you in?

The Smiddy 10K Swim is back in 2017 and we'd love to see you in the pool!

When: Sunday 20 August, 2017

Where: UQ Sport Aquatic Centre (Union Road, St Lucia)

Significant investment in life-saving cancer research is the only way that these statistics are going to change.

You can use your passion for swimming to fund cancer research at Mater, going up and down the pool 100 times to help improve outcomes for cancer patients.

Trent Halliday, a long-time UQ Pool regular, lost his battle with melanoma in 2015. In his honour, the Trent Halliday Memorial Trophy will be awarded to the highest 10K Swim fundraiser.

We know you’re up for the challenge, so help us give hope to those affected by cancer.

You can choose to swim solo or as part of a relay team (relay teams must have a minimum of two people). You can base you/your team's category on your predicted lap times below:

  • 1min 20secs
  • 1min 30secs
  • 1min 40secs
  • 1min 50secs
  • 2mins
  • 2mins 10secs

Registration is just $55 and you'll receive a race pack including a Smiling for Smiddy swim cap, towel and water bottle.
