Krista Page

What is your nickname?

Where do you work and what is your role?
Smiling for Smiddy, Fundraising Manager

How long have you been cycling?
Since 2008.

What inspired you to sign up for your first Smiling for Smiddy event?
A dear friend was a major inspiration to a large group of us to take on the Brisbane to Townsville ride. I would still rate the experience as one of the most challenging, rewarding and life affirming events that I have undertaken.

What does it mean to you to raise money for cancer research?
It’s protecting the future of the advancement in medical treatment and the direct benefit to those struck with this awful disease. Ideally we can all one day refer to Cancer as a thing of the past.

What is your top fundraising idea or tip?
My top tip is to start early.

What’s your favourite post-ride beverage?
A long black.

Do you have any rituals or superstitions before you go for a ride?
